In the last few years, we’ve all gone dog crazy, with nearly a quarter of the nation’s population now owning a furry four-legged friend. Considering how great they are, it’s only natural that we’d want to take our dogs everywhere with us, including to our favourite pubs and bars in Chester but with so many places to eat and drink, it’s hard to know where you and your canine companion will be welcome.

Commonhall is a home away from home for many, so the fact that it’s such a dog friendly place is no real surprise. However, the lengths they go to in order to welcome our four- legged friends is astonishing. With water bowls always available and treats on hand to all, Commonhall are true dog lovers. This is shown no more than their offering of free dinners for dogs on Sunday while their owners enjoy a roast!

Located in the historic Gamul House, The Brewery Tap is a straightforward pub with a beautifully traditional interior and locally sourced food and beer from their own Spitting Feathers farm.
